Don’t starve is an interesting top down(ish) style survival game. You start off on a dangerous set of land, due to a scientist’s experiment going wrong and teleporting you to this place. There are many different characters that you may choose from, each having their own area of expertise. Choose whoever you think will be able to help you survive the longest.
The goal of the game is to survive as long as you can. To do that, it is in your best interest to start gathering materials to craft things. The most important thing to craft right off the bat is a campfire or torch. Pretty much anything that provides you some light. When it gets dark out, the darkness attacks you, with the possible end result being death if you do not have a source of light.
It is also in your best interest to try and find a source of food. If there are any on your map, I would suggest going and looking for beefalo. They are being creatures that provide you a lot of meat, but be careful, because if another beefalo sees you attacking one of their own, you best run for your life. If your map doesn’t have beefalo, start out by trying to find carrots to bait and trap rabbits.
Another big aspect of this game would have to be the science machine that you can craft. The science machine opens up a lot more craft-able items, such as the crock-pot. The crock-pot allows you to throw a few different edible items into it and cook a pretty filling meal. This game is not easy by any means, actually, it is quite difficult. If you are a gamer who is looking for a challenging game to occupy your time, then give this one a try. There is also a don’t starve together edition of the game, where you can play with a friend if you don’t want to go through this hardship alone.
